We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Interior Soft/Hard Trim Design and Release Engineer for a contract role within Ford’s Product Development team based in Lara.
In this role you will be working in a dynamic global environment working with the soft & hard Trim engineers for Ford Motor Company, based at the Proving Ground.
Key Responsibilities:
·Plan and lead design and development for interior hard/soft trim commodities.
·Major responsibility in leading the project team and suppliers for product actions.
·Lead design & validation work to achieve timely and cost effective solutions to issues as they arise
·Work closely with suppliers / studio / engineering / manufacturing / craftsmanship to ensure lowest cost and best quality solution.
·Project management responsibility to work with the immediate and distant team(s) to meet targets and objectives on time.
Required Skills & Knowledge :
·Competent in leading a team through various design, development & validation stages (concept to launch).
·Interpersonal skills to enable to interface with many teams from many different areas of the company other nationalities / countries, time-zones.
·Interior components / systems and/or extrusion / plastic experience preferred, such as soft / hard trim parts, injection molded plastic etc.,
·Use / maintain release / DV / issue management systems.
