Meet INVENIO – HR Business Partner, Mida Goga reveals her highlights of 15 years with INVENIO

As INVENIO Pty Ltd celebrates 30 years as an innovative business solution provider in the region, we want to acknowledge the people and challenges that had shaped us into the award-winning business that it is today.

Mida Goga - HR Business Partner - InvenioIf there is anyone who is familiar with INVENIO’s growth it is our HR Business Partner, Mida Goga, who celebrates 15 years with INVENIO this year. In this article, she takes us through the journey of her career.

INVENIO: 15 years is an incredible achievement! What have been some of the highlights of your time working with us?

Mida: There are plenty to name since I started working with INVENIO back in 2005. Perhaps the one that I’m most thankful for is having the opportunity to work on challenging recruitment projects with major clients within the aerospace and automotive industries.

As a leader of our Contractor Management team, it has been a wonderful experience to build lasting working relationships with our contractors and support them throughout their entire employment. On top of that, it is rewarding to see our company grow over the years with the expansion of our team across business functions within, Recruitment, Software and Engineering Services.

As a business we are all about growth and career development. What is the most important thing you have learnt while working at INVENIO so far?

Mida: For me, it has to be the importance of building a good rapport and maintaining strong working relationships with our colleagues, customers, contractors and candidates. In fact, this focus has been a cornerstone to INVENIO’s success.

As a business, INVENIO has had its ups and downs in the last 15 years. Tell us, what were some of the biggest challenges and how did you manage them?

Mida: Like many organisations back in late 2008 and 2009, we had to weather the effects of the global financial crisis. The downturn resulted in some of our major clients reducing their costs, which led to a recruitment freeze. This was a challenging time for everyone at INVENIO because we had highly skilled candidates available, but there weren’t as many opportunities to place them.

With a positive approach, our team initiated strategies to retain and broaden our customer base. We increased attendances at networking events and conducted numerous follow-up calls from marketing campaigns. This helped us determine which clients had recruitment needs at that time and come up with solutions to reverse market some of our experienced candidates. Through these efforts placements were made and we enjoyed a huge recruitment demand across a number of industries in 2010.

Drawing from your experience, what advice do you have for your colleagues and our contractors?

Mida: No matter what happens, it is important to display a positive mindset. Always keep your business relationships professional and strive to be the best you can be.

Everyone at INVENIO knows you, but what are some of the things that people may not know about you?

Mida: I guess that would be my family life. I have been married for 23 years and have three children aged 20, 16 and 8. Whenever I need a getaway from it all, I would travel to Europe, as well as Asia and America. I also like to do some exercising, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
