INVENIO Innovation Days goes virtual with SOLIDWORKS 2021 and 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS showcase

Melbourne, Australia, October 2020– Eager to showcase the newest features in the SOLIDWORKS portfolio despite travel restrictions, INVENIO sets an example in working towards a COVID Normal with its first virtual Innovations Days. This year’s annual technology event showcased the capabilities of Dassault Systèmes’ new SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS 2021 to Australian and New Zealand customers.

Despite COVID-19 restrictions on business activities, the two-day virtual event saw more than 250 registered participants. INVENIO live-streamed the event to New Zealand customers on 14th October, followed by their Australian counterparts the next day.

Max Kerault, INVENIO’s Head of Sales, together with Paul Morris, the company’s Engineering Manager and Ratish Bakhshi, Business Solutions Manager, alongside INVENIO’s expert technical team of Application Engineers, were present to demonstrate key features of SOLIDWORKS 2021 and 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS cloud apps. The event also saw a special presentation from Filip Kuttner, Dassault Systèmes OCEANIA Partner Sales Director, and lucky prize draws for the audience which were won by Dave Olsen and Ryan Bailey of New Zealand, and Greg Cooper and Ron Carroll of Australia.

In keeping with the format of previous Innovation Days, key industry players were also present to give their insight into possible applications of SOLIDWORKS 2021 and 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS. Richard Little and Faisal Almesfer, the CEO and CTO of Exsurgo Rehab shared their experience using SOLIDWORKS to develop pain treatment technology to New Zealand audiences. Philippe Guichard, an award-winning industrial designer of D2 Design and Development, offered his assessment of designing on the cloud with 3D Sculptor and 3D Creator to Australian viewers.

“One of the areas we have been emphasising this year is the cloud based 3DEXPERIENCE platform and connected suite of apps for end-to-end product development. While the technology enablers have been available for some time, many companies were planning this digital transformation as a future activity rather than an immediate consideration”, said Kerault.

”Although it’s been a very unusual year with our ‘What’s New’ events delivered in a virtual, live format for the first time, we’re delighted to see that our customers’ enthusiasm around the release of SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE new features is as strong as ever”.

SOLIDWORKS 2021 and 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS cloud apps software bundles and license packages are available for all Australian and New Zealand customers. As a two-time Dassault Systèmes Value Solutions Gold Partner for 2018 and 2019, INVENIO customers will also get to enjoy award-winning support and services.
