We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Procurement TVM Engineer (Body Security or Switches) for a contract role within Ford’s Product Development team based in Melbourne.
In this role you will be working with Engineers to identify cost saving opportunities on Body and Control Modules and ultimately driving cost reductions into the material piece price.
Key Responsibilities:
·Project Management who have managed and worked for Electrical or Electronic switch Commodities
·Manage suppliers for the design of cost reduction ideas in a timely manner
·Interface between engineering and suppliers to achieve cost optimized TVM targets
·Able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and internal teams
·Work in the Powertrain section of the Team Value Management department to investigate and deliver implementation of ideas to improve the cost effectiveness of the vehicles being produced
·Handle fuel, cooling and transmission systems
·Involvement in driving cost saving localisation and design projects from idea creation to implementation via sourcing supplier quotes, developing business cases, developing or sourcing required engineering documentation and prototype trials
Required Skills & Knowledge:
·Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field will be highly regarded
·Excellent project management skills
·MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) proficient
·Organised, independent, hands-on can-do attitude and able to work with minimal supervision
·Capacity to translate complex specifications into actionable items
·Supplier Management and Cost optimization
