We have an exciting new opportunity with our client for a highly motivated Mechanical Design Specialist with strong knowledge and awareness in Special Purpose Equipment and Manufacturing. Our client is a world-renowned Industrial Automation and Manufacturing Solutions company. Positions will be based in Melbourne, Australia.

Key Responsibilities
·Mechanical CAD design of special purpose machines as per customer specifications
·Technical support for new business acquisition
·Developing concepts for special purpose machinery and robot applications
·Mentoring and technically supporting contractors for tool and fixture manufacture
·Maintaining mechanical drawings in accordance with the Bosch standards and norms
·Develop a cost sensitive design approach in order to achieve cost competitiveness
About you
We are looking for a dynamic, creative and innovative people who works well in a team environment, is goal oriented, attention to detail and accountable, but also need to have the following,
·Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
·5 years+ experience in the design and drawing of Special Purpose Machinery (SPM)
·Extensive knowledge in CAD software for 3D and 2D drawings
·Able to travel occasionally (local and international)
·Strong communications skills (verbal and writing) and organisational skills
·Able to work independently as well as in a team of diverse engineering groups
·Good character with drive-to-results mentality
·Capable of planning and delivering your work to meet the required timelines and company quality.
·Hold a valid driver’s license
