Australia’s Brickman takes the stage at INVENIO Innovation Day 2022

Melbourne, Australia, October 2021 – Whether it is product development or simulation and validation, SOLIDWORKS’ versatility makes it an invaluable tool for designers like Ryan “The Brickman” McNaught.

One of 21 LEGO Certified Professionals in the world, McNaught is the main judge of LEGO Masters Australia and operates a studio that specialises in creating giant, life-sized LEGO sculptures. Because of the size and scale of his commissioned work, McNaught needs a design software that delivers on accuracy and detail, which is why he uses SOLIDWORKS.

McNaught, together with Angus McLaren, winner of LEGO® Masters Season 3, and Davide Sirolli of Hydraulic Energy Australia were guest speakers at the recently held INVENIO SOLIDWORKS 2022 Innovation Day. At the exclusive webinar event, McNaught shared his experience and use of SOLIDWORKS to 200 attendees from around the ANZ region.

“The application of SOLIDWORKS in the creation of life-sized LEGO sculptures of cars, motorcycles, and architectural models, once again demonstrates the versatility of the industry-popular CAD and PDM software,” said Max Kerault, INVENIO’s Head of Sales.

“McNaught’s use of SOLIDWORKS proves that the users’ imagination is the only limit in what it can do for their creations and projects!”

The INVENIO SOLIDWORKS 2022 Innovation Day gave attendees a deep dive showcase of the software’s new features and flexible solutions. Optimised to enable users to “Work Smarter, Work Faster, Work Together”, the new improvements in SOLIDWORKS 2022 are its enhanced User Experience that improves workflows, documentation, and data management, faster performance, and advanced design/drawing features.

Filip Kuttner, Director of Dassault Systemes, was present to provide valuable insights into the industry, how it is changing and where it is heading. SOLIDWORKS 2022’s enhanced capabilities in handling large assemblies and vast data management with collaborative online tools on the 3DEXPERIENCE Works platform reflect this industry change.

“SOLIDWORKS 2022’s enhancements enable users to streamline and accelerate their entire product development process. As the industry becomes more globalised and competitive, the improvements in SOLIDWORKS 2022 ensures that you will be able to stay ahead of the pack,” Kerault added.

“Choosing the right software partner is important as well. As Your Trusted SOLIDWORKS Partner, INVENIO provides full software support and certified training, and is the authorised reseller of SOLIDWORKS solutions software like CAMWorks and MyCADTools, which gives your SOLIDWORKS package an expanded suite of tools and features to do more.”
