Focusing on managing major projects within the product development division, providing studio engineering support on styling programs by liaising between engineers, suppliers and designers to ensure styling designs are feasible and successfully released for production or concept launch.
As a Studio Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Conduct preliminary feasibility checks for tooling, manufacturing, packaging, assembly and durability

Lead CATIA V5 CAD designer for parts, sections, 2D drawings and generate clear design envelopes

Project Manage projects within the Studio

Chair or attend design reviews
-
Provide analysis of issues during the review with key design criteria which needs to be achieved

Engineering Administration – CAD data collation and control.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have:
-
Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Engineering (preferred Mechanical Stream) or equivalent
-
Minimum 8 years’ experience in automotive styling, engineering part design, tool design, or automotive manufacturing including minimum 3 years Studio Engineering experience in an OE design studio.

Strong CATIA V5 CAD skills
